McKee has existed for over thirty years, and has been serving South Charlotte  her whole life. McKee is a member of the Southern Baptist Denomination, and conforms to the closest document that Baptists have to a confession; the Baptist Faith and Message. McKee has a Sunday School class for every age group, a Recreation Ministry, a Men’s and Women’s Ministry, a Youth Ministry, A Missions Ministry, and much more. Her current pastor is Reverend Timothy Brown, who comes from a long line of Gospel preachers, and is unapologetic in his traditional adherence to and preaching of the Word of God. Reverend Brown graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelors Degree in Political Science, and has earned both a Masters of Divinity degree with a concentration in Biblical Languages from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, and a Masters of Theology Degree with a concentration in Philosophy of Religion and Epistemology from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest. Reverend Brown is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Philosophy program at Southern Evangelical Seminary, pursuing a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Religion with a concentration in Ontology and Metaphysics.
